When I first started my photography business a year and a half ago, I scoured facebook for photographers that I admired and followed their beautiful work just hoping I would someday be that good. Danielle was certainly one of the first I found. At the time she lived up North, but I had heard that she once lived here in SC and had taken pictures of many of my friend’s sweet newborns. I was such a dork about a year ago when I saw that she had “liked” one of my images on facebook… I totally sent her a message telling her how much it meant to me to have her view and like my work! such.a.dork. Well, we became facebook friends a couple of months later and the rest is history. She and her sweet family had recently moved back to Columbia and we started a friendship. I really value not just her “photography” friendship, but the friendship that extends beyond “what we do.” It is so refreshing to see that in this industry… so many times it is about “competition” or “jealousy,” but that is not the case here… and I SO appreciate that from her even though we have “shared” many clients. She has been open and honest with me about my own business (even some tough love that I needed to hear!) and encouraged and supported me when she really didn’t have to… That says a lot to me about her character. I am so blessed by her friendship and her wisdom in this gift of photography.
I was so honored when Danielle asked me to get her family’s pictures last month before her husband deployed. NO PRESSURE, right? ha! They were awesome! I am very pleased with the images we got… ENJOY! And stay tuned… she is taking my family’s pictures in the coming weeks!!! We have some really fun and “different” things planned… can.not.wait!
